Technician, Fire Suppression - Licensed

Tessera is seeking a licensed Fire Suppression Lead Technician to oversee inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler and suppression systems. You will ensure code compliance, diagnose and resolve system issues, and maintain accurate records. In addition, you'll provide training and guidance to technicians while upholding the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

Typical duties include but are not limited to :

• Test and inspect building water-based fire protection systems.
• Test fire related backflow assemblies. Work towards qualifying as a WA state backflow specialty plumber (PL30).
• Perform scheduled maintenance on fire protection systems to include : AFFF Deluge, Low-Expansion Foam, Pre-Action, Dry, Water Mist and Water Spray, Pressure-Reducing Valves, and fixtures.
• Assist in adjustment, repair, or replacement of leaky joints, pipes, valves, and other equipment and components to maintain proper and efficient operation of all related fire protection systems. Additionally, adjust, repair, or replace support systems like compressors, nitrogen generators, and vacuum air systems, valves, and other associated systems, equipment, and components.
• Obstruction and impairments investigation and repair.
• Apply all NFPA and UFC code requirements during installations, repairs, and maintenance.
• Limited knowledge on how to operate Fire Alarm Control Panels (FACP) to perform required maintenance.
• Operate, clean, and maintain required tools and special equipment.
• Operate support equipment like Self Propelled Boom Lifts.
• Ensure all requirements are met as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures.
• Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded.
• Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.
