Systems Engineer

MANUFACTURING ENGINEER : St. Jude Medical, An Abbott Labs Co., in Sylmar, CA seeks qualified Mfg Eng. Resp for designing & developing mfg processes, tooling & fixtures to meet daily production schedules while enhancing productivity & product quality. Bachelors or foreign equiv in Industrial Eng, Mgmt of Tech, Mfg Eng or rltd eng fld of study w / min. 3 yrs of rltd pro exp. Must possess pro exp in : (i) developing & executing Process Validation activities (IQ / OQ / PQ) & Test Method Validation (TMV / IMV), DOE to find nominal process parameters; (ii) analyzing root causes for issues identified in mfg based on design changes & product performance specs & supporting CAPA implementation actions to prevent non-conformances; (iii) performing statistical analysis incl SPC, using Minitab & analyze data for Gage R&R normality to determine process capability & applying Six Sigma DMAIC process to improve processes; (iv) new product mfg line, balancing line activities, inventory mgmt, resource allocation, identifying tooling & fixtures requirements for improving processes & investigating day-to-day mfg concerns.
