Construction Management & New Destination Development Sourcing Manager
Location : Miami, FL (Hybrid)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Construction Management & New Destination Development Sourcing Manager to lead strategic global sourcing initiatives that support the planning, construction, and activation of new destinations across the Caribbean. This role develops sourcing work packages, manages contractor selection, procures BOH (back-of-house) equipment, and oversees purchasing for all construction-related needs.
The ideal candidate has strong experience in construction, engineering, or capital development sourcing, with expertise in bid leveling and procurement across Division 16 categories.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies for construction services including general contractors, subcontractors, engineering firms, and construction management partners.
- Create detailed scopes of work and bid packages with cost breakdowns and Division 16 bid leveling structures (electrical, communications, controls, etc.).
- Lead full RFP cycles including bid issuance, Q&A management, pre-bid meetings, and response analysis.
- Perform detailed bid leveling and evaluate contractors, specialty trades, BOH suppliers, and Division 16 electrical categories.
- Procure BOH equipment, utilities infrastructure, electrical / mechanical systems, long-lead materials, and construction supplies.
Negotiation, Contracting & Commercial Management
Lead negotiations on pricing, schedules, and commercial terms.Partner with Legal to finalize contracts and manage commercial risk.Support the development of contracting strategies (lump sum, unit rate, design-build, CM-at-risk, etc.).Vendor & Supplier Management
Oversee vendor performance, ensuring alignment with scope, quality, schedule, and safety.Manage change orders including scope validation, pricing review, and approval workflows.Conduct supplier performance evaluations and drive corrective actions.Maintain a preferred supplier network with strong capabilities in Caribbean construction environments.Project Collaboration & Execution Alignment
Partner with construction management, engineering, architecture, logistics, and finance teams to align sourcing with project scopes.Support budgeting, cost estimation, and capital planning.Align contract awards with project schedules and procurement milestones.Coordinate with logistics teams for shipping and delivery of materials to Caribbean destinations.Risk, Compliance & Market Intelligence
Conduct due diligence regarding contractor capacity, safety performance, and regional compliance.Ensure procurement activities meet regulatory, environmental, sustainability, and internal policy standards.Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, labor availability, and construction cost dynamics.Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.5 8+ years of experience in strategic sourcing for construction or capital development.Strong background in RFP management, bid leveling, and evaluation across construction trades-especially Division 16 categories (electrical systems, power distribution, communications, lighting, etc.).Experience sourcing general and specialty contractors.Proven success in contract negotiations and change order management.Strong vendor relationship and performance management skills.Experience working across multi-country or island development environments.Comfortable working in a temporary role.Able to work hybrid in Miami.Preferred
Experience with Caribbean or remote island construction programs.Knowledge of maritime logistics, ocean freight, and shipping for heavy equipment / materials.Certifications such as CPSM, PMP, or similar.Experience with hospitality, resort, cruise destination, or large commercial development projects.Key Competencies

$67 / hour, paid weekly on Fridays.
