Excel Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Wilmington, North Carolina. Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Med Surg / Telemetry Discipline : RN Start Date : 10 / 27 / 2025 Duration : 13 weeks 48 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Job Details : Shift : Nights | 4x12 (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM) Contract Length : 13 weeks Weekly Hours : 36 or 48 available Ratios : 1 : 6–7 RTO : Up to 7 days (not during orientation; must work 2 of 3 major holidays) Call : None Float : To similar units and affiliated campuses (within 15 minutes) Weekends : Every other weekend Special Requirement : Must be willing to work Storm / Hurricane Team if needed Required Experience & Skills : Minimum Experience : 2 years RN Preferred Experience : Med Surg / Ortho Traveler Experience : Not required Skills : Dysrhythmia management (required) Oxygen protocol management Non-invasive airway management Peripheral line care / management Isolation precautions / PPE Rapid response activation EPIC charting (required) Certifications : Required : BLS Preferred : ACLS, dysrhythmia interpretation, drip management, central line care, blood product administration Compliance & Notes : Must pass EKG testing prior to start Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) COVID vaccine not required Local Radius : Candidates must live 70 miles from facility Travel Pairs : Allowed, but must be on different units Must be comfortable floating per facility needs About Excel Medical Staffing Always Caring – Never Commissioned We’ve come together to help clinicians find their best fit job that allows them to pursue their passion for adventure and service to others.
