Engineer role at Tata Consultancy Services

ETL Tester (Informatica, Talend, Ab Initio)

Are you an ETL testing professional with experience in data warehousing and automated testing? This role focuses on ETL validation, data quality, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Understand the requirements, prepare test strategies and test plans
Prepare test scenarios and create test cases based on ETL mapping artifacts
Execute tests, write automation scripts, resolve defects within SLA, and coordinate with stakeholders for issue resolution
Collaborate with Business Analysts, POS, Development teams, PS teams and other vendors to gather and understand requirements

Qualifications

Should have good knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts and ETL testing concepts

Extensive experience in writing and executing complex SQL and PL / SQL queries

Knowledge of designing and developing UNIX commands as part of ETL processes; able to automate data loading and data retrieval

Experience analyzing ETL mapping documents; develop SQL scripts based on ETL mappings and database documents to validate data inputs and compare outputs

Experience creating test cases, test scenarios, and test strategies based on ETL mapping artifacts

Extensive data analysis experience to identify root causes of issues

Hands-on experience with Selenium, JavaScript, and Selenium WebDriver is preferred

Compensation

Salary Range - $100,000-$115,000 a year
