Job description

Overview

The Digital Photo Editor will manage the daily workflow of pictures coming in from multiple clients (via email, FTP and cloud based storage). The photo editor will be responsible for basic and advanced photo editing, and uploading and classifying photos to an in-house server. The photo editor is responsible for reviewing the quality and content of all photographs submitted by photographers and ensuring that all photos are of the highest quality possible and adhere to CS3 Photography guidelines. Editor will need to be proficient in Adobe Photoshop.

Reports to : Supervisor and / or Photo Management Team

Primary Duties and Accountabilities

  • Download photos from various intake sources (email, FTP, cloud storage). Conduct basic and advanced photo editing in Photoshop, such as cropping, basic retouching, exposure and color adjustments and compositing (changing of skies, merging exposures, etc.). Ensure that photos are kept in good order and organized accordingly.
  • Maintain standards of quality and service levels and ensure regular proactive status communication with requester.
  • Quality Assurance : Review and select best photos per CS3 Photography's photo guidelines. Follow quality assurance standards across multiple brands.

Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • YOU WILL BE TESTED IN PHOTOSHOP AS PART OF THE INTERVIEW PROCESS TO ENSURE PROFICIENCY
  • PHOTOSHOP IS THE PRIMARY PROGRAM USED AT CS3.
  • Skills : Adobe Photoshop and Photoshop Raw Editor including retouching and photo enhancement, exposure and color adjustments (white balance). Compositing and HDR blending / merging also needed. (Photography experience a plus)
  • Ability to go beyond simply moving sliders and using presets when manipulating images.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint and Word

  • Normal operating hours : Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
  • Job Type : Full-time
  • Pay : $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
