Kitchen Team Member
Kitchen assistant duties may include but are not limited to :
Prepping gelato, sauces, sundae toppings, inclusions (ice cream nerd speak for ingredients added to gelato during production : cakes, cookies, or brittles) per recipe bookOperating gelato batch freezers, commercial mixers and ovensChopping, blending, lifting gelato ingredients (50+ lbs)Cleaning equipmentStocking finished product within a walk in freezer and coolerAssisting in the organization of gelato inventory and ingredient procurementJob responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Set up, operation, and cleaning of commercial food prep equipmentIngredient procurement and preparationCommunicating directly with Kitchen Manager on menu developmentAssisting in the management of gelato inventoryMaintaining a clean work environmentCoordination of finished products to our retail locations and wholesale customersCooking or pastry experience is encouraged but not requiredAbility to lift 30+ poundsFood service experience is encouraged but not requiredMust be able to work weekdays (we operate our production kitchen weekday mornings through weekday late afternoons, year-round )Kitchen team members will start part-time, and with demonstrated success, full-time if so desired.Previous experience is not required; just a growing desire to always be evolving into a terrific member of our team.
