Job description

Locums - Primary Care PhysicianLocation : San Mateo, California (Northern California - South of the Bay Area)Setting : Geriatric Outpatient Clinic (FQHC - Federally Qualified Health Center)Start Date : Late December / Early JanuaryContract Length : 3 months (with option to extend) Schedule

Days : 4-5 days per week
Hours : 8 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM
No Call / No Weekends

Patient Details

Volume : 14 patients per day

Population : 100% Medicare / Medicaid - high need, high complexity

Age Range : Exclusively patients aged 60+ (many in 80s / 90s)

Language Diversity : Multilingual population - bilingual Spanish strongly preferred

Support Staff : Strong RN and clinician support

Job Expectations

Continuity geriatric care (not a teaching setting)

Must be comfortable with complex public health / FQHC populations

Procedures : Pap smears, basic STD diagnosis

Requirements

Board Certification :

Internal Medicine - Required

Geriatric Board - Preferred but not required

Family Medicine - Accepted for the right candidate

Board Eligible - Case-by-case; must be current in practice

Experience :

Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience

Geriatric-focused care experience strongly preferred

Licenses / Certifications :

Active California Medical License - Required

DEA - Required

BLS - Required

EMR : Epic - must be proficient with fast charting
