Job Summary :
Charter Oak Health Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for providing basic nursing care under the supervision of registered nurses (RNs) and physicians. This role involves assisting with patient care, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and ensuring patient comfort.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist with daily patient care activities, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
- Measure and record patients' vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Administer prescribed medications and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Perform basic wound care, including cleaning and dressing wounds.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including care provided and patients' responses.
- Educate patients and their families on health maintenance and care plans.
- Work closely with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Assist with diagnostic tests and therapeutic procedures as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications :
Completion of an accredited LPN program.Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of CT.Experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not always required for entry-level positions.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment.Proficiency in basic nursing procedures and patient care techniques.Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is often required.Charter Oak Health Center Offers Outstanding Benefits That Include :
