PURPOSE OF POSITION :

A Therapist at Catholic Charities :

• Obtains information about participants through use of interview, case history, and observational techniques.
• Conducts counseling or therapeutic treatments, in either individual or group sessions as appropriate, to assist participants in gaining insight into personal problems, define goals, and plan actions reflecting interests, abilities, and needs and to discuss progress towards achieving goals.
• Acts as an advocate for participants and / or participant systems when appropriate.
• Develop treatment plans; monitor treatment progress and follow-up at disposition times.
• Assist participants with psychological development, social development, and rehabilitation.
• Coordinate participant's use of other MHCD programs and outside community resources.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

Minimum of two years of experience in clinical social work or related field. Experience with working with moderate to severe and persistently mentally ill populations. Knowledge / experience with substance abuse disorders and treatments preferred. Master's degree in social work, psychology, or similar field. Currently license eligible or licensed as a LCSW / LPC / LAC in the State of Colorado. Provisionally Licensed or can obtain provisional license within 60 days.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS :

Salary : $60,000-$75,000 per year
