Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position with a 1 : 7 patient ratio requirement and a TN or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Med / Surg Tele unit within a hospital setting
  • Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 18 : 30 to 07 : 00
  • Every other weekend required
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Float to other units as needed
  • Patient ratio is 1 : 7
  • Active participation in supporting nursing students and clinical education is expected
  • General orientation begins on Sunday and includes online learning modules
  • Orientation includes 16 hours of non-billable time spent on required modules
  • Electronic modules completed during orientation and recorded via electronic transcripts
  • No local candidates within 100 miles are accepted

  • Active TN or compact RN license in hand
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) certification required
  • Previous charge nurse experience is preferred
  • Must live at least 100 miles from the facility
  • Ability to complete drug testing 12-14 days before start and return for additional testing if needed
  • Facial hair must be trimmed or removed to meet CDC fit testing guidelines
  • First time travelers are accepted
