What You'll Do

The Environmental Services Supervisor provides hands-on leadership for the Environmental Services (EVS) and Laundry teams at Grand River Health's Main Campus. This role ensures hospital spaces remain clean, safe, and compliant with all policies and quality standards. The Supervisor supports daily operations by leading staff, monitoring workflow, and stepping in as needed to maintain continuous coverage.

• Supervise and support night shift EVS and Laundry staff to ensure all duties are completed accurately and on time
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary patient rooms, offices, and public areas in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards
• Lead daily shift huddles; provide coaching, feedback, and on-the-job training
• Assist with scheduling and staffing coordination when the EVS Manager is unavailable
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; ensure timely restocking
• Inspect patient rooms and common areas, including isolation and contact precaution rooms
• Ensure staff follow PPE, safety, and infection control procedures
• Support the team by performing housekeeping duties as needed
• Complete other duties as assigned to support department operations

Who We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid Driver's License and clean DMV record preferred.
• Two years of working experience in the Environmental Services field preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience.
