Responsibilities Work in a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit at a Level 3 Perinatal Center with approximately 150 births per month Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum women, and newborns, with 70% high-risk cases Level 4 NICU support onsite Facility features two operating rooms in-unit for C-sections and related procedures Day shifts available, with options for 3x12 or 4x12 hour schedules 1 : 1 patient ratio provided Weekend shifts required No call requirements Floating within the hospital is expected, but not to sister hospitals EPIC EMR is used; prior experience preferred but not required Scrub color is flexible; scrubs provided for OR use Provide care for high-risk antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients and their newborns Second L&D RN serves as "baby catcher" for well, non-compromised newborns Outpatient services provided when clinic is closed Orientation sessions for RNs are offered twice per month, with pre-start and on-site modules, including EPIC training First-time travelers are welcome to apply Holiday time off restrictions apply, especially around Christmas Locals accepted at the same rate as travelers References required, with at least one being supervisory strongly preferred RTO cannot be requested during orientation week and must be kept to a minimum Requirements Active WA or compact RN license, or pending license at time of consideration Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required; 3 years preferred BLS and NRP certifications required Previous experience in teaching and trauma hospital settings preferred COVID vaccination and booster required with no exceptions Previous UW staff must be separated by at least 18 months before consideration as a traveler At least two prior travel assignments beyond initial hospital experience preferred Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-640580.
