Digital Communications Engineer

PGS Worldwide is actively seeking an experienced Digital Communications Engineer to support a high-impact aerospace and defense program in San Diego, CA . In this role, you'll join a cutting-edge team focused on designing the next generation of multi-function, software-defined radios and signal processing systems for mission-critical defense applications. This is a hands-on engineering opportunity for professionals who thrive in an innovative, collaborative environment and enjoy seeing designs brought to life in advanced labs and test environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

• 12+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or related Engineering discipline (or 10+ years with a Master's / 8+ with a PhD)
• Strong foundation in digital communications systems , including modulation, coding, detection, synchronization, noise processes, and equalization
• Hands-on experience in digital communication system development within the past 3 years
• Experience in Matlab and Simulink modeling of algorithms for comm systems
• Proven track record in link budget development, modeling, and testing
• Demonstrated ability to lead product development teams
• Eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
