Payroll Coordinator
Miramar, FL (Onsite)
The Payroll Coordinator prepares and compiles payroll data for submission to the Shared Services Payroll Department for Corporate employees to receive payment.
Key Qualifications and Requirements :
- Minimum of two years of experience with processing payroll with multi-state employees
- Understand the flow of payroll processes (from recording hours through mailing the check)
- Working knowledge of payroll deductions and taxes
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of accounting and finance principles
- Knowledge and experience with SAP Financials a plus
- Proficiency in PC skills, particularly Word and Excel
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload in order to meet deadlines
- Team player, energetic, self-starter, motivator
- Critical nature of this job may require extended hours
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities :
Weekly review of UKG information for verification and adjustment of hours workedProcess manual salary adjustments, such as vacation, PTO, etc.Maintain and run various bonus and salary programsCalculate sales commissionsProcess payment in kind transactions on an ad hoc basisTransmit payroll out to SSD in an accurate and timely mannerAudit weekly payroll to ensure that employees are paid accuratelyProcess high volume of payroll checks while multi-taskingResearch discrepancies in pay and / or benefit timeAble to explain gross pay to net pay to employees as neededHigh volume of inquires must be answered dailyRun various ad hoc reportsCommunicate within the department as well as outside the departmentComplete special projects as assignedMetasys Technologies is an equal opportunity employer.
