Job description

Manager, Innovation

General Summary : Under the supervision of the Vice President & Chief Innovation Officer, the Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to deploy initiatives and solutions as they relate to forming strategic partnerships, licensing intellectual property, co-developing technologies, and actualizing system data assets with the objective of providing system-wide solutions that will enhance both the patient and provider experiences. The Manager will also be responsible for developing and managing innovation fellows to launch and operationalize innovation projects.

Education / Experience Required : Bachelors degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or related field or equivalent experience. Two years of training, education, and / or work experience in : working with early stage healthcare companies, incubators and accelerators; knowledge of healthcare technologies using artificial intelligence and machine learning; working knowledge of actualizing healthcare data for commercialization and commercial partnerships; broad knowledge of digital health platforms using data to derive value, and their applications in a provider environment. Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the HFHS mission, vision, and values in leadership behaviors, practices, and decisions. Must possess ability to work in an ambiguous matrix environment and aggressively take the lead on implementation of opportunities that affect numerous lines of business. Must possess outstanding people leadership and management skills. Be self-directed, flexible and committed to the team concept, demonstrate teamwork, initiative and willingness to learn and open to new learning experiences. Exceptional management and facilitation skills. Ability to skillfully and tactfully counsel, guide, collaborate and negotiate; create alliances and work effectively with diverse groups and interests. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong working relationships and partnerships and effectively represent HFI to varied and diverse internal and external groups. Advanced project management skills and abilities to provide effective solutions and manage needed resources to accomplish goals and objectives. Ability to understand and effectively utilize new technology and methodologies to meet strategic goals and objectives. Ability to communicate effectively with executives and management regarding concepts, plans, operations and requirements. Proven capability of balancing strategic vision, operational requirements and technology alignment into an overall plan for co-development partnerships and licensing-related projects. Preferred skills : team player, project management, leadership, communication, knowledge of health systems, corporate partnerships, research administration.
