Overview
Senior SEO Manager (USA) at Black & White Zebra. We are looking for a Senior SEO Manager to oversee SEO performance with a strong emphasis on technical SEO excellence, scalable systems, and AI-driven workflows.
In this role, you’ll partner closely with our content, operations, and digital PR teams to drive measurable, sustainable organic growth across a portfolio of websites, including PeopleManagingPeople.com, TheDigitalProjectManager.com, and TheCTOClub.com.
Responsibilities
- Technical SEO Leadership : Own comprehensive technical SEO initiatives, including crawlability, indexability, structured data, site speed, mobile optimization, internal linking, and site architecture. Conduct regular in-depth audits with tools like Screaming Frog, diagnose issues, and implement optimization strategies across multiple sites. Collaborate with engineering to translate SEO requirements into development work.
- Content & Authority Building : Maintain and evolve keyword research, identify high-value opportunities, conduct gap analyses, and optimize content for visibility, engagement, and lead generation. Support Digital PR in prioritizing backlink opportunities and tracking link-building initiatives.
- Analytics, Insights, & Experimentation : Monitor SEO performance using GA4, GSC, Ahrefs, and internal tools; provide clear cause / effect analyses; identify growth opportunities; develop and run SEO testing from ideation to measurement.
- AI, Automation, & Systems : Leverage AI tools and automation to improve efficiency and scale SEO operations. Develop scalable systems and processes to drive better results.
- Collaboration & Strategic Partnership : Work cross-functionally to plan and execute SEO initiatives aligned with business goals. Act as internal SEO expert and guide strategy with the Director of Content & SEO.
Your Skillset Includes
5+ years of hands-on SEO experience with a track record of driving measurable growthTechnical depth in site speed, structured data, crawlability, Core Web Vitals, and scalable site architectureExperience scaling SEO across multiple websites with templated structures and internal linking strategiesTool fluency : Wordpress, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog (or equivalent), GA4, GSC; data analysis in Excel / Google SheetsContent alignment : Bridge SEO strategy with content and digital PR teamsAI & automation : Apply AI tools to improve efficiency and impactTesting & experimentation : Design and run SEO experiments and leverage data to drive improvementsAnalytical mindset : Surface insights and clearly communicate trends to stakeholdersCollaborative communicator : Influence cross-functional teams around SEO prioritiesNice to Haves
Experience in B2B SaaS SEO or other highly competitive industriesExperience with AirTable for managing content lifecyclesKnowledge of JavaScript for scaling SEO automations and data integrationsUnderstanding of server-side SEO factors and collaboration with developersActive participation in the SEO community through writing or speakingSalary & Employment Details
This full-time position is remote. Annual base salary range : $80,000 – $100,000 USD. Salary ranges vary outside the USA and by seniority; compensation is determined through interviews and review of qualifications, and may include discretionary bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
