Simple Solutions Psychotherapy - Founded June of 2020. We are a community-based organization providing therapy (individual, family, couples, & groups), after-school programs, mental health assemblies, organizational workshops, juvenile detention centers, case management and more! We service California residents via insurance or cash pay. Services are provided via telehealth and in-person in English and Spanish Language and based on specifics of contracts.
At Simple Solutions Psychotherapy we believe "It's SIMPLE people just make it complicated." We seek to assist PsyD practicum students in gaining knowledge and experience toward assisting the community with mental health services.
About the role
Under supervision of a licensed Psychologist, administer psychological assessments, and administering other testing, conduct intakes, assign diagnosis, and document client progress. Provide individual, group, couple, play therapy, and family therapy services with the purpose of treating mental disorders.
What you'll do
- Provides individual, group, couple, children, and family psychotherapy.
- Participate in conducting research, preparing and processing necessary paperwork, handle calls and other forms of correspondence and attend meetings, conferences, trainings, and seminars.
- Administer psychological assessments.
- Measure the effectiveness of interventions and implement changes where required.
- Collaborate with clients to develop post-treatment activity plans.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans and progress.
- Refers clients to specialists for further treatment as appropriate or help clients get needed services or resources.
- Develop and maintain accurate records regarding case progress, evaluations, and any further treatment recommendations.
- Draft and submits necessary paperwork requested by insurance companies and as requested by Simple Solutions Psychotherapy administration.
- Maintain compliance with ethical codes and standards.
- Complete other duties and special projects as assigned. the specific responsibilities and job functions of the role
- Facilitates groups for incarcerated youth and adults, schools, day treatment centers, and other contracted locations assigned.
- Facilitates groups based on curriculum standards per contract requirements.
- Create and modify curriculum ideas and PowerPoints for current future contracts.
- Gather and analyze information on group participants through a variety of methods that may include observation, interviews, self-report inventories, and / or group discussions.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of group educational / mentorship programs and collaborates with the group participants, staff, CEO, and colleagues in developing and strengthening programs.
- Will be required to travel to conduct groups / classes, assemblies, mental health fairs, trainings, and workshops.
- Provide education to clients (if applicable and within the scope of competence).
- Assist group participants in allocating needed services or resources.
Qualifications
1-2 years of experience (preferred) providing therapy to individuals, children, couples, and f amilies.Knowledge in completing SOAP (subjective complaint, objective findings, assessment of progress, and plan) notes. (preferred)Knowledge in using the DSM-5TR for diagnosing clients in a therapeutic setting. (preferred)Experience leading group sessions.Must have a minimum of a master's degree in psychology or education with an emphasis in counseling psychology.Must be in school or graduated with a degree in clinical psychology that is applicable to become a Psychologist.Must apply to the California Board of Psychology for registration as a psychological assistant. the experience and attributes of the ideal candidateThe pay range for this role is :
