Summary of Position :
Helicopter Instructor Pilot. To conduct in-aircraft initial conversion and / or recurrent flight training onsite and at customer location. To complete course paperwork as required by Leonardo Helicopters and to assist in the development of course training material.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Deliver Pilot Type Rating and Recurrent Flight coursesDeliver other training courses as applicableStudy and train as needed to remain current as an instructor pilot him / herself, remaining informed and up-to-date on the latest standards, procedures and regulations as applicableBe responsible to complete all required training paperwork in a timely and accurate fashionAssist in the ongoing development of LHTA curriculum, products and servicesMaintain and update training materials and publicationsPerform other duties and fulfil other responsibilities as assignedQualifications for Position :
Education / Licenses / Certifications :
FAA Rotorcraft Commercial Certificate, ATP PreferredFAA CFI / CFII, + EASA PreferredValid FAA Medical, minimum Second-class, First-Class preferred.Experience :
Instructor background in helicoptersA119 trained / 150 hours as PIC on type preferredStrong IFR experience and knowledge3,000 total hours RotorcraftTwin turbine helicopter time. +500 hours preferred200 hours instrument - actual / simulatedCompetencies & Attributes :
Excellent interpersonal communications skills and MS office KnowledgeBilingual English / Spanish preferredMust be able to travel both domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.Experience in the development of aviation training materialIT skills : Microsoft OfficeEqual Opportunity Employer / Vet / Disability
