Senior Solutions Architect for DynamoDB Optimization

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Solutions Architect to lead DynamoDB optimization initiatives within Amazon's internal teams. In this exciting role, you will analyze, optimize, and enhance the usage of DynamoDB, our premier NoSQL database service that supports much of Amazon's retail and AWS operations.

Key Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate current DynamoDB usage and pinpoint areas for optimization.
• Design and implement solutions aimed at enhancing database efficiency and performance.
• Provide expert technical guidance and best practices for effective DynamoDB implementation.
• Work alongside capacity planning teams to ensure optimal resource allocation.
• Lead the standardization of DynamoDB best practices across various departments.
• Conduct in-depth analyses of DynamoDB usage patterns across different internal services.
• Partner with Technical Program Managers (TPMs) and the Capacity & Forecasting team to realize optimization strategies.
• Review and refine existing access patterns, partition key designs, and capacity provisioning.
• Promote the adoption of established DynamoDB best practices among internal teams.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities through enhanced database utilization.
• Collaborate directly with service teams to implement the recommended changes.
