Job Description
Primary Objectives
Responsible for processing supplier invoices and preparing periodic vendor payments accuratelyEssential Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned and changed as needed)
Ensure material receipts are accurate and complete in accordance with vendor invoicesMaintain and distribute unmatched exception report and follow up for correctionsPrepare periodic check runs and ensure their accuracyEnsure supplier credit terms are maintained accuratelyGenerate monthly accounts payable vouchered and accrual closing reportsVerbal communication with vendorsPerform job responsibilities within scope of company policies and proceduresParticipate in special ad hoc assignmentsProcess outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and proceduresPerform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable dataReconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statementsFacilitate payment of invoices due by sending bill reminders and contacting clientsGenerate reports detailing accounts payables statusUnderstand expense accounts and cost centersUnderstands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)Qualifications
3-5 years previous accounts payable experience within Manufacturing industryAssociate's degreeComputer experience (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc. ) requiredAS400 experience (preferred)Good interpersonal communication skills, both oral and writtenAbility to work with individuals at all levelsMust be a TEAM playerGood organizational skillsAdditional Information
