As Operations Technician I,II,III, you'll perform a variety of tasks, including reading and interpreting drawings, supporting pipeline operations, safely maintaining facility equipment and analyzing data to resolve technical and operational problems. Knowledge of permits and compliance, accurate record-keeping and a focus on safety will bring success in this role!

Responsibilities / Expectations :

Provides leadership and mentorship in key technical areas, including Instrumentation, Control Systems and PLC programming

Coordinates seamless operation of instrumentation controls and electrical systems

Utilizes the Maximo Asset Management System for executing comprehensive maintenance strategies, from preventive to condition-based, enhancing asset longevity and performance

Conducts detailed calibration and effective troubleshooting of instrumentation

Demonstrates expertise in the programming and calibrating various sensors and switches

Configures and calibrates control and shutdown valves, ensuring system responsiveness and stability

Performs a variety of tasks to safely maintain equipment and support operations; tests, calibrates and validates process safety devices and equipment

Responsible for data analysis and collaboration with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems

Follows all company policies and applies appropriate operating and maintenance procedures

Acquires knowledge of and adheres to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets

Maintains general knowledge of site / location / equipment / specific permits and compliance

Installs and maintains electrical equipment associated with power line distribution systems and electrical safety code, applying technical skills, proficiency and technical leadership in the following areas : Electrical Switchgear, Instrumentation, Measurement, Motor Controls, Control Loops, Distributive Control Systems, Allen Bradley PLCs, AC electrical systems and DC electrical systems

Troubleshoots, operates, repairs and maintains mechanical and electrical systems including both low and high voltage equipment and uninterruptible power supply systems; removes, repairs and reinstalls sensing elements for flow, temperature, pressure and level measurement

Operations Tech I :

Education / Years of Experience :

Required : High School Diploma / GED

Preferred : Associates or two-year technical degree; minimum six (6) months mechanical, technical, or controls systems experience in the oil and gas industry or operations technician summer internship with Associates Degree

Operations Tech II :

Education / Years of Experience :

Required : High School Diploma / GED and minimum two (2) years' related experience and minimum of one (1) year experience as a technician in the oil and gas industry

Preferred : Associates or two-year technical degree

Operations Tech III : Education / Years of Experience :

Required : High School Diploma / GED and minimum three (3) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role

Preferred : Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum two (2) years of multifaceted operations technician experience in the oil and gas industry

Physical and Environment Work Requirements :

Must be willing to :

Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces

Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed

Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time

Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and / or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)

Use hand tools

Shift / Work Hours / Travel Requirements :

Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises

May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays

Other Requirements :

Must possess valid State Driver's License and clean driving record

Demonstrates aptitude and ability to embrace technology and applications to drive operational efficiency and streamline processes

Demonstrates excellent organizational / interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority

Brings strong experience in industrial maintenance with a focus on rotating equipment and machinery

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and proficient / advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers
