Clinical Pharmacist — Clinical Pharmacy

Bakersfield, CA

Shift Type : Nights (40 hrs / week)

Duration : 13 Weeks

Submission Requirements :

  • California-licensed hospital pharmacist with 3+ years experience — Required
  • Required Certifications :

    • BLS (AHA)

  • Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) via BPS

    • Coverage Areas :

  • Both campuses : Inpatient, ER, ICU, MedSurg, Telemetry, PACU, OR, Mother / Baby, NICU

    • Common Duties / Job Requirements :

  • Full pharmacy operations including regulatory compliance
  • Ability to assist staff in emergencies as needed
  • Must perform Antibiotic Stewardship Program (ASP) functions :

    • Vancomycin & aminoglycoside dosing

  • Insulin & other drug monitoring
  • Drug information support for medical staff
  • Experience with :

    • ASP

  • Sterile compounding
  • Cerner or other CPOE
  • Omnicell or similar ADM systems
  • Medidose unit packaging
  • Kit check & control check
