Job Description

Trupanion is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of FP&A to join our dynamic Finance team. In this capacity, you will play a critical role in the corporate budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis processes as well as serve as the key Finance partner for Investor Relations. Reporting to the Senior Director of FP&A, you will be responsible for ensuring we have the financial insights and visibility we need to achieve our enterprise-wide goals.

This position is open to candidates in the Seattle area. You will have a hybrid remote / in-office schedule where you will work from our casual, pet-friendly office at least 3 days a week.

What you will do :

• Manage the annual financial planning process, collaborating across the team to develop financial plans and associated presentation materials
• Oversee planning, forecasting and reporting for assigned areas of responsibility, namely corporate items such as stock-based compensation and new products and initiatives
• Review the consolidated forecast and monitor performance against the annual plan
• Facilitate monthly results review meetings and quarterly forecast review meetings with the CFO and CEO, delivering actionable insights on financial performance, key metrics and trends
• Partner with the Investor Relations team to develop external messaging for earnings calls and investor presentations
• Support leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and scenario modeling
