American Traveler is seeking an experienced Sonographer with vascular experience, ARDMS certifications in ABD and OB / GYN, and at least 4 years of clinical practice.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a diagnostic imaging setting, specializing in ultrasound proceduresCare for a variety of patient populations including general ultrasound, vascular, OB / GYN, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and pediatricsPerform 8-12 scans per day on averageUse equipment such as Cerner EMR and Samsung RS85 PrestigeFloat between inpatient, outpatient, ED, OB, and vascular care areas as neededVariable day and evening shifts extending until midnight, with rotating call responsibilitiesScheduled weekday shifts may include 0600-1630, 0700-1730, 0800-1630, 1630-0000, and main shift 11 : 00 AM – 11 : 00 PMCall requirements include 3-4 overnight weekday calls (0000-0600) per month and 1 weekend 24-hour call per monthWeekend and holiday rotations requiredProfessional scrubs of any color are acceptableResponsibilities include performing detailed ultrasound exams, including general, vascular, OB / GYN, and emergency studiesInteract with lead technologists and provide support to physiciansCollaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a 70-bed care environment; may have occasional MD and RN students presentOrientation consists of approximately two weeks with four to five shifts per weekFree parking available on siteAll time off requests must be approved by the managerTravelers are supported in a multidisciplinary imaging environment with access to advanced technology and physician support\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum of 4 years recent sonography experience requiredCurrent BLS certification requiredARDMS certifications in ABD and OB / GYN requiredVascular ultrasound experience required; vascular certification preferredPediatric and critical care ultrasound experience preferredProficiency with Cerner EMR system preferredMust have a compact or Maine state license if applicableFirst-time travelers will not be consideredMust not have held a permanent position at Northern Light Health HospitalsPermanent address must be 100+ miles South or Southwest of EMMC in Bangor, MEFlu vaccination required for clearance to start—medical exemptions reviewed by the facility\n Benefits\n
