Job descriptionWork in a diagnostic imaging setting, specializing in ultrasound procedures Care for a variety of patient populations including general ultrasound, vascular, OB / GYN, emergency, inpatient, outpatient, and pediatrics Perform 8-12 scans per day on average Use equipment such as Cerner EMR and Samsung RS85 Prestige Float between inpatient, outpatient, ED, OB, and vascular care areas as needed Variable day and evening shifts extending until midnight, with rotating call responsibilities Scheduled weekday shifts may include 0600-1630, 0700-1730, 0800-1630, 1630-0000, and main shift 11 : 00 AM – 11 : 00 PM Call requirements include 3-4 overnight weekday calls (0000-0600) per month and 1 weekend 24-hour call per month Weekend and holiday rotations required Professional scrubs of any color are acceptable Responsibilities include performing detailed ultrasound exams, including general, vascular, OB / GYN, and emergency studies Interact with lead technologists and provide support to physicians Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team in a 70-bed care environment; may have occasional MD and RN students present Orientation consists of approximately two weeks with four to five shifts per week Free parking available on site All time off requests must be approved by the manager Travelers are supported in a multidisciplinary imaging environment with access to advanced technology and physician support Minimum of 4 years recent sonography experience required Current BLS certification required ARDMS certifications in ABD and OB / GYN required Vascular ultrasound experience required; vascular certification preferred Pediatric and critical care ultrasound experience preferred Proficiency with Cerner EMR system preferred Must have a compact or Maine state license if applicable First-time travelers will not be considered Must not have held a permanent position at Northern Light Health Hospitals Permanent address must be 100+ miles South or Southwest of EMMC in Bangor, ME Flu vaccination required for clearance to start—medical exemptions reviewed by the facility High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
