California Licensed Profee Coder

A company is looking for a Medical Coder.

Key Responsibilities

Assign E / M, modifiers, and ICD-10 codes from documentation ensuring proper medical necessity

Review provider submitted coding in EPIC against documentation and recommend coding changes

Manage assigned EPIC WQ's to meet submission expectations

Required Qualifications

Current CPC or equivalent through the AAPC or AHIMA required

At least three years of active E / M coding experience for multiple specialties

At least three years of active surgery coding experience

Recent experience in EPIC in Follow-Up WQ's and either Charge Review or Claim Edit WQ

Multi-specialty EM and procedure / Sx coding experience across various specialties
