Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Lawrenceville, GA 30046 (Greater Atlanta area)

Healthcare Setting : Acute Care Inpatient Oncology Unit

Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Contract

Start Date : December 1, 2025

End Date : March 1, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12-hour night shifts (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM), 3 shifts per week

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1570–$1610 per week

Holiday Coverage : Must be available to work 1 major holiday (Christmas Day or New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve)

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Georgia or compact state

Minimum of 2 years recent experience in inpatient oncology nursing or medical / surgical nursing

BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Must not reside within 50 miles of Lawrenceville, GA

Oncology RN Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, evidence-based care to oncology patients in an acute inpatient setting

Administer medications, chemotherapy, and blood products according to physician orders

Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and respond promptly

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans

Educate patients and families on oncology treatment plans, symptom management, and discharge instructions

Accurately document all nursing care provided in the electronic medical record

Participate in unit-based quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
