Responsibilities Work in the Emergency Department within a hospital setting Care for a diverse patient population in a Level 1 Trauma environment Shift schedule includes mids (1 : 00 PM-1 : 30 AM) with a 2-week night rotation required for all travelers Two 13-hour call shifts required per 6-week schedule, with a 1-hour onsite response expectation Epic EMR is used and experience is required Perform thorough patient assessments, develop and modify care plans, and implement nursing interventions specific to emergency care Responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation Adhere to patient and staff safety standards, reporting and correcting hazards as needed Work collaboratively with providers, staff, and families to ensure quality patient care Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed during a 13-week contract Must not exceed 1 year of continuous assignment within the health system; a 6-month break is required before returning No travel partners are accepted for this assignment Requirements Active IL RN license or temporary license in good standing Minimum of one year relevant ED nursing experience required; three years preferred Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA) certifications required Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred Documented Level 1 Trauma experience required Epic charting system experience required Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-624391.
