Job description

Kahuna is seeking a driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team, focused on the Manufacturing vertical. This role is critical to fueling pipeline growth by helping plant leaders, operations managers, and workforce development teams understand how Kahuna can solve workforce capability gaps that directly affect productivity, compliance, and operational excellence.

What you’ll do :

  • Engage with inbound manufacturing leads and ensure fast, relevant follow-up tailored to industry pain points like downtime, quality failures, or workforce inflexibility.
  • Prospect into target manufacturing accounts—including food & beverage, pharma, aerospace, automotive, and more—through personalized outreach (calls, emails, social media).
  • Qualify opportunities by understanding current-state workforce management practices and mapping them to Kahuna’s capabilities (e.g., skills visibility, compliance tracking, onboarding speed).
  • Partner with Sales & Marketing to refine manufacturing-specific messaging, support campaign execution, and identify new market opportunities.
  • Track and report KPIs related to manufacturing pipeline velocity, lead quality, and conversion rates.
  • Represent Kahuna at manufacturing events and field activities where plant digitization and workforce upskilling are key themes.

Requirements

What we’re looking for :

  • 2–5 years in software sales development or B2B sales, preferably selling into operations-heavy environments.
  • Strong communicator with an ability to engage with operations leaders, HR, and L&D professionals in manufacturing contexts.
  • Self-starter motivated by solving real-world operational problems (e.g., downtime, skills mismatch, regulatory risk).
  • BA / BS degree and a desire to grow in a SaaS environment where frontline workforce transformation is the focus.
  • Experience working with CRM and marketing automation tools; manufacturing exposure a plus.
