The Los Angeles County Library is seeking a Library Associate to join their team. This temporary part-time job is a great opportunity to be part of an innovative library system while making a meaningful impact on the community.
The ideal candidate will have three months of experience in a public customer-facing role and be at least 18 years old. They will be responsible for processing library materials, registering new customers, explaining library policies, and providing information to the public.
Responsibilities will include :
Desirable qualifications include successful completion of accredited college or university courses in Library Technology or Library Science, and experience supporting the daily operations of a public library.
The Library Associate will work a flexible schedule with a minimum of 20 hours per week, typically in shifts of 4 hours, which may include evenings, nights, and weekends.
