Quality Engineer, Level 5

The Media Delivery Platform team's mission is to enable teams across Snap to deliver world leading media creation and consumption experiences with ease and reasonable cost. The MDP team enables Snaps to be created easily, uploaded reliably, started quickly, and played smoothly while looking great across all surface areas. The MDP team achieves this through an integrated, consistent, and coordinated end-to-end media platform, encompassing upload, download, transcoding, storage, streaming, caching, playback, and monitoring.

We're looking for a Quality Engineer to join Snap Inc. to help us deliver new, exciting experiences through the Media Delivery Platform!

What you'll do :

• Help drive quality engineering efforts for internal and external product releases
• Help develop test strategies for existing and new, unreleased features
• Define / implement / maintain test automation that drives improvements in Snapchat's usability, performance, hardware compatibility, and software interoperability
• Diagnose, debug, and perform root cause analysis for defects / incidents, document your findings, collaborate cross-functionally to triage, and champion resolution of your bugs
• Collaborate with Product Design, Program Management, Feature Developers, and other Quality Engineering team members to define requirements, ensure testability, and deliver high-quality features
• Participate in the release process for Snapchat
• Collaborate with partner teams to understand dependencies and to facilitate development of integration and end-to-end tests
• Provide technical support to internal team members

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position.These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC) :

The base salary range for this position is $173,000-$259,000 annually.

Zone B :

The base salary range for this position is $164,000-$246,000 annually.

Zone C :

The base salary range for this position is $147,000-$220,000 annually.

This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
