Responsibilities Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) of a hospital setting Care for patients with a variety of diagnoses including pre- and post-operative, cardiovascular, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, neurological, renal, endocrine, sepsis, carcinoma, and pediatric patients Shift is four 10-hour day shifts per week, between 8 : 00-18 : 30 or 9 : 00-19 : 30 Requires Epic EMR experience Involves airway management, central line monitoring, and post-procedure care 50-mile radius rule for travel eligibility; local candidates accepted at a local rate Responsible for individualized patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation Provides patient education and discharge instructions utilizing the electronic health record Anticipates, recognizes, and intervenes in life-threatening conditions and updates interdisciplinary team as needed Leads and manages care through others while following infection control principles and professional practice standards Must complete unit-specific orientation and e-learning modules during orientation Return travelers must have a break of at least one year before returning Only one holiday off will be approved for requested time off (RTO) Requirements Active CA RN license required Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA or American Red Cross) Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience in a PACU or critical care acute care setting of similar size and complexity Minimum 2 years' experience with airway management Experience with central lines and post-procedure care in a PACU or critical care setting Epic charting experience required Must be able to read, write, hear, and communicate in English as required for the role Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-640325.
