Minimum Requirements

A bachelor's degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description

Technical & Operations :

• Assist with the management of all payroll processing functions
• Creates payroll schedule to support campus and state deadlines
• Resolves payroll errors
• Ensures biweekly ACH files are reported timely and accurately
• Reviews emergency checks, leave cashouts, journal entries, pay retros, payroll calculations and query analysis

Compensation and Qualifications

Expected Salary : $75,000 - $85,000

Preferred : Extensive knowledge of the payroll rules and regulations in addition to the human resource rules and policies as they affect payroll processing and payment functions and payroll accounting entries. A thorough understanding of the accounting systems, payroll tax withholding, and tax reporting requirements.

Ability to work and maintain effective working relationships with others; to understand, interpret, and apply applicable rules, regulations, policies and procedures; to analyze and solve problems, interpret and recommend solutions or changes; to effectively communicate in writing and orally; to work with limited supervision; to be reliable, and to work both in a team and independently, proficient in Microsoft Office.
