Job Title : Shipping and Receiving Coordinator

Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Coordinator to join our team. This role involves the efficient handling and management of materials, parts, and products, ensuring that all shipments are processed accurately and promptly. The coordinator will be responsible for the entire shipping and receiving process, from inspecting shipments to preparing items for dispatch.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and ship materials, parts, and products by loading and unloading trucks as necessary.
  • Visually inspect shipment conditions, document and report damages, and file damage claims as needed.
  • Review incoming items, verify quantities and other identifying information against purchase orders and packing lists, and report discrepancies to Purchasing, Production, and Engineering.
  • Identify and label inventory with date, part number, description, and P.O. number, then stock in appropriate locations.
  • Receive and process credit-return materials by verifying identifying information and quantity of materials, and cross-checking with PRR; place materials in inventory or route to Turnaround station.
  • Enter Shipping, Receiving, and RMA information into the computer system (GP / Creatio).
  • Pull parts from inventory and Customer Service stock to fulfill customer orders.
  • Prepare items for shipment by assembling, packing, protecting, and labeling shipment's packaging.
  • Determine the best method of shipment by examining items to be shipped, destination, route, rate, and time of shipment.
  • Create packing lists and all other shipping documents as required.
  • Prepare all international export and shipping documentation for international shipments, such as invoices and SLI.
  • Maintain shipping documents for all shipments and distribute copies to the appropriate departments.
  • Coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments internally to ensure they are processed accurately and meet shipping schedules.

Essential Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • US Citizenship or permanent residency required.
  • Two or more years of related experience in a shipping and receiving environment.
  • Valid Washington State driver’s license.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. on a regular basis.
  • Strong computer skills, including MS Office applications.
  • Operate a forklift and maintain a Forklift Operation Certificate.
  • Capable of using measurement tools such as measuring scales, calipers, micrometers, pin, thread, and radius gauges.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Ability to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about the facility regularly.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all departments.
  • Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with inventory control and warehouse shipping.
  • Familiarity with material handling processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

    Work Environment

    The position involves working Tuesday through Friday from 6 am to 4 : 30 pm in a dynamic warehouse setting. You will use technologies such as GP / Creatio for shipping and receiving tasks. The role requires regular physical activity, including lifting, standing, and moving around the facility. Dress code is casual and safety-focused, in line with warehouse operations.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00 / hr.
