We are a trusted HVAC contractor based in New Hyde Park, NY, specializing in residential and commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning services. Known for our commitment to quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction, we are seeking a skilled HVAC Service Technician to join our growing team.

Salary : $35.00 - 47.85 / Hour

Job Summary :

We are looking for a motivated and experienced HVAC Service Technician to perform service, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems for both residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting abilities, a professional demeanor, and a dedication to delivering outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities :

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems
  • Perform routine maintenance and system inspections
  • Troubleshoot issues and clearly explain findings and recommendations to customers
  • Install replacement parts and ensure systems are operating efficiently
  • Maintain accurate service records and complete job-related documentation
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members
  • Adhere to safety procedures and industry best practices
  • Stay up to date with current industry standards and certifications

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 2 years of HVAC service experience (more preferred)
  • EPA Certification (Type I & II or Universal) required
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various indoor and outdoor conditions
  • Familiarity with standard HVAC tools and equipment

    • Preferred Qualifications :

  • HVAC trade school certification or degree
  • Experience with mini-split systems, boilers, and commercial rooftop units
  • Knowledge of HVAC control systems, including thermostats and zoning
