Job description

Position : Addiction Therapist – Video Game, Pornography, & Sex Addiction

Location : Remote (Must hold NY licensure)

Type : [Full-Time / Part-Time / Contract]

Position Summary :

We are seeking a licensed therapist with specialized experience in treating behavioral addictions, including video game, pornography, and sex addiction. This is a remote position; candidates must hold a valid LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC license in New York . The ideal candidate will provide individual and group therapy, utilize evidence-based treatment modalities, and work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support client recovery and well-being.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify behavioral addiction patterns.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based strategies.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focusing on video game, pornography, and sex addiction.
  • Provide psychoeducation and resources for clients and their families.
  • Monitor client progress, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure compliance with confidentiality and ethical standards.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers as needed for holistic client care.

Qualifications :

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
  • Current LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC license in New York .
  • Experience treating behavioral addictions, particularly gaming, pornography, and sex addiction.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based interventions for addiction recovery.
  • Strong communication, empathy, and interpersonal skills.

    • Preferred :

  • Experience in teletherapy or remote treatment platforms.
  • Training in sex addiction certification or specialized programs (e.g., SASH, CSAT).
