Vice President of Perioperative Service Line for Whittier / Downey campuses will coordinate directly with C-Suite leadership. The VP of Perioperative Service Line will formulate and implement operational strategies and initiatives and assist with the preparation of the department's annual reports and budgetary planning. The VP of Surgical Services will maintain regular continuing surveillance of the professional performance of practitioners and their clinical privilege.

Required Skills
- Ten years of nursing experience in an acute care general hospital, including five years of progressively responsible supervisory and administrative experience over perioperative service operations.
- Extensive knowledge of theory, techniques, and practices of professional nursing
- Excellent analytical skills in order to integrate and interpret data from diverse sources to address complex issues and critical thinking skills to develop creative solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to develop strong relationships with suppliers and customers, inside and outside of the organization, and to effectively communicate with employees, the medical staff and healthcare management staff; facilitate consensus building.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across organizational lines and with a diverse group of people.
- Highly motivated, self-starter, values-based, energetic, enthusiastic, honest, and professional with strong personal integrity who has a pragmatic and proactive approach to problem solving.
- Strong performing manager who values employees and can build relationships with employees at all levels of the organization based on trust.

- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (CIHQ, Title XXII, OSHA, CMS COP, California Nurse Practice Act, etc.) and evidence-based nursing practice on an advanced level
