Because of their continued growth, a general contractor in the local area is seeking a Commercial Construction Chief Estimator preferred with some residential construction experience to join their team. Chief Estimator Duties and Responsibilities :

• Will be responsible for working on several potential projects valued between $50-200M.
• Provides leadership, guidance, and expertise by defining, implementing, and monitoring department estimating resources, guidelines, best practices, and procedures.
• Coordinates with a team and senior management to grow the business in line with the firm’s strategic direction.
• Responsible for the completeness and accuracy of submissions.
• Establishes team assignments and identifies estimating review dates.
• Oversees and supports several projects from an operational, financial, and resource standpoint.
• Negotiates bids on new build projects.
• Reviews subcontractor proposals and levels out the subcontractor proposals.
• Creates subcontractor bid scopes of work.
• Performs quantity take‑offs and square foot analysis and presents in an organized manner.
