Master’s degree in School Counseling, Counseling or a related field, active School Counselor license and 1+ years School Counselor experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A K-12 school in Vance, Alabama is seeking a dedicated Counselor to support the social, emotional, and academic development of students. This contractual position plays a vital role in fostering a positive school environment by providing guidance, counseling services, and student advocacy across all grade levels.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing academic, social, and emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to develop intervention strategies for student success.
- Conduct student assessments and develop tailored support plans.
- Facilitate workshops on topics such as bullying prevention, conflict resolution, and career readiness.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of student information.
- Coordinate referrals to external agencies and resources as needed.
Qualifications :
Relevant degree in School Counseling, Psychology, or related field.Valid counseling certification or licensure as required by state regulations.Experience working in a K-12 school setting preferred.Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.Knowledge of counseling best practices and current educational policies.Location : Vance, Alabama
