Plumber
Working closely with other members of the Engineering Team you will assist in the daily operations of the Hotel to ensure systems are maintained to meet the highest standards possible. This candidate must be experienced in all aspects of the trade able to work independently as a team player and adhere to both environmental and safe work practices.
Summary of Responsibilities :
Both experience and the technical knowledge and skills are applied to your trade in the maintenance of mechanical systems within a heritage building. Duties include but are not limited to :
- Steam and Hydronic heating systems
- HVAC systems
- Drainage Systems
- Water distribution systems
- Kitchen equipment
- Operating knowledge of building automation systems
- Able to communicate effectively and professionally with both guests and colleagues
- Should be able to work on boilers hot water tanks compressors and pneumatic systems and back flow preventors
- Must have experience servicing troubleshooting diagnosing repairing and installing water heaters tubs toilets sinks faucets showers various valves pipes drains water softeners etc.
- Respond to requests in a timely manner and assist in achieving the Departmental and Hotel goals. These duties are representative and do not encompass the full range of performance expectations.
- Must be able to read an interpret drawings / schematics and specifications as required
Qualifications :
Journeyman certification Alberta and / or Interprovincial Red SealAlberta Gas TicketClass 5 drivers license with clean record (abstract must be provided upon acceptance)Water Treatment Plant operation experience is an assetClass 4 or 5 power engineering ticket is an assetThis full time position is physically demanding in a high paced and challenging environment.Remote Work : Employment Type :
