This position is accountable forproviding safe and effective pharmaceutical care to neonates through youngadulthood at Valley Children's Healthcare. Serves as pharmacology consultant, apatient advocate, and a fiscal conscience to the healthcare team whileproviding pharmacy services to meet the needs of patients / care providers, physicians,nurses and other healthcare team members. Processes safe and effective drugtherapy beginning with the review of physician's orders through theadministration and outcome of drug therapy and includes providing clinicalpharmaceutical services.
The emphasis of this position isadvanced pharmacy practice in a pediatric inpatient setting primarily servinghematopoietic cell transplant (HCT) including CAR-T and Bone Marrow Transplant. The pharmacist will support FACTaccreditation including meeting the core competencies and required continuingeducation.
The pharmacist will support staffdevelopment and training including working with pharmacy students, PGY-1 andPGY-2 residents.
