Job descriptionReview and analyse project plans, specifications, and proposal documents. Perform detailed quantity take-offs for asphalt, paving, milling, and related scopes of work. Prepare accurate cost estimates, budgets, and bid proposals. Identify project risks, constructability concerns, and value-engineering opportunities. Conduct site visits to evaluate job conditions and confirm scope requirements. Collaborate with project managers, operations teams, and leadership to ensure estimates align with execution capabilities. Communicate clearly with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to obtain pricing and clarify details. Assist in handoff meetings and contribute to project planning after award. 10+ years of experience in asphalt estimating or equivalent paving expertise. Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational abilities. Deep understanding of asphalt, paving, milling operations, and industry pricing. Ability to handle multiple estimates simultaneously and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency with MS Office; experience with estimating software is a plus.
