Position Summary :
The LVN / LPN provides compassionate, trauma-informed medical care to children and youth in a shelter setting. This role supports the health and wellness of minors through direct care, medication administration, health screenings, and coordination with medical professionals. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, empathetic, and committed to maintaining high standards of care in alignment with agency policies and regulatory guidelines. We are seeking a dependable clinician who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about serving vulnerable populations.

- Salary : $29.59 Hourly (Bi-weekly pay)
- Location : West El Paso, TX
- Employment Type : Full-Time, Permanent
- Work Schedule : Friday - Sunday / 12-hour Shifts
- Travel : Minimal; may include occasional local errands or medical appointments

Qualifications Required :
MUST BE FLUENT IN SPANISH AND ENGLISH (Speak, Read, and Write)High School Diploma or GEDMinimum ONE (1) year of nursing experience (pediatric or shelter experience preferred)Graduated from an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing program, Valid LVN or LPN license in good standing with the state of Texas Board of Nursing, current BLS certifications (PALS preferred), First aid, CPR, Emergency behavior interventionMust pass background checks and health screeningsExperience working with children, adolescents, or vulnerable populations preferredKey Responsibilities :
Provide direct nursing care to children and youth in accordance with the scope of practiceAdminister medications and maintain accurate medication recordsConduct health screenings, assessments, and monitor vital signsDocument all medical services and interactions in compliance with agency and regulatory standardsCoordinate with physicians, mental health professionals, and shelter staff to support holistic careRespond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as neededMaintain confidentiality in all areas of child and program operationsParticipate in scheduled meetings, training, and team collaborationUphold Compass Connections' professional and ethical standards of conductOther duties as assignedCore Competencies :
