As part of our continued growth in the Transmission & Distribution sector, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead / Senior Substation Electrical Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team. Position Summary :

The Lead / Senior Substation Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading the design and delivery of high-voltage substation projects that power critical infrastructure across the country. This role involves overseeing complex technical work, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring high-quality, code-compliant designs. Some of your responsibilities include :

• Lead the design and coordination of high-voltage substation projects (up to 500kV) through all phases from conceptual studies and preliminary design to construction documents and commissioning support.
• Oversee the development of substation physical and electrical designs, including one-line diagrams, grounding, protection and control schemes, equipment layouts, and cable / conduit plans using Revit, Inventor, AutoCAD, AutoCAD-3D, and related tools.
• Provide technical leadership for substation design activities, ensuring consistency with project scope, schedule, quality expectations, and applicable codes and standards.
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients and contractors, supporting scoping meetings, progress reviews, and field issue resolution.
• Perform and review detailed power system studies such as load flow, short circuit, arc flash, relay coordination, and grounding analyses using ETAP, SKM, ASPEN, CYMCAP, CDEGS and similar platforms.
• Prepare and review engineering reports, design calculations, equipment specifications, and construction packages including protection and control wiring diagrams and panel layouts.

The salary that we expect to pay for this position is commensurate with experience, education, licensure, skills, and location but may be in the $130,000 to $175,000 range. Please connect with us for more information.
