Flexible to work any shift, weekends, overtime and holidaysSchedule assignment upon hire is determined by plant needs. You will be assigned to either the Traditional Work Schedule (TWS) or the Continuous Operations Schedule (COS). Once your probation period is complete, you will be assigned to a shift and / or schedule based on your seniority and you will be eligible to bid on other schedules, shifts and jobs.Traditional Work Schedule (TWS) : Regular schedule is 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. (1st shift : 7am - 3pm, 2nd shift : 3pm - 11pm, and 3rd shift : 11pm - 7am). Mandatory overtime could be weekly (scheduled for 12 hours / day, Monday through Friday), daily (additional 4 hours on your 8-hour shift) and weekends (8 to 12-hour shifts).Continuous Operations Schedule (COS) : Rotation of 2-2-3 days on / off, with every other weekend off. You will be eligible for 1 mandated day in a 2-week period.Candidate Process :

The Hershey Company, Hazleton Plant, is a Union plant producing products such as Cadbury, Milk Bars, Almond Bars, Special Dark Bars, Caramel Bars, Candy Coated Eggs, and Kit Kat, in a high-speed complex environment.
In this role, you will most likely begin by working as a Utility Worker, Grade 1. You will work to maintain our highest quality of food safety standards, sanitation standards, and be responsible for completing daily production paperwork. Within a few months, you will be cross trained on a higher-grade position and will receive the higher rate while working in that role. Once your 90-day probation period is complete, you will be eligible to bid to higher level positions .

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Operate processing and packaging equipment, perform routine and limited breakdown maintenance of production equipmentMonitor overall product quality, complete required checks as well as associated daily production paperworkClean and inspect equipmentFollow safety proceduresFollow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Follow good housekeeping practicesMinimum Qualifications :
Must be at least 18 years of ageMust possess a High School diploma / GEDMust be able to read, write, and speak English or SpanishMust be flexible to work any shift - 1st / 2nd / 3rd as well as 12-hour shiftsMust be available to work overtime, weekends and holidaysMust be able to lift up to 50 lbsMust be authorized to work in the United StatesBasic computer skillsDrivers License PreferredPreferred Qualifications :
Two years' experience in a manufacturing / food manufacturing environment is preferredExperience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) / Standard Operating Procedures related to appropriate uniforms, gloves, shoes, hair nets, etc. is preferredExperience with Safe Quality Food (SQF) practices is preferredJob Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
