Position Overview : The Photo Editor Assistant will play a crucial role in researching and acquiring real estate listing and editorial images, securing usage rights, and assisting with photo licensing for syndicated content. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of editorial photo sourcing, licensing best practices, and have strong communication skills. This role reports to the Senior Photo Editor and works closely with the editorial team.

Responsibilities

• Source images from stock agencies, brokerages, wire services, and other sources.
• Reach out to photographers, agencies, and rights holders to obtain permissions for photo usage.
• Secure image rights for syndicated stories, ensuring compliance with licensing agreements between multiple publications.
• Maintain organized records of licensing agreements, permissions, MLS agreements and restrictions, and image credits.
• Ensure all sourced images align with photo quality standards and editorial guidelines.
