POSITION OVERVIEW

We're hiring a Health & Safety Manager to take ownership of all safety-related programs and processes at our manufacturing facility in Berlin, NJ .

You'll lead the charge on OSHA compliance, employee training, incident investigation, Workers Comp case management, and more - all while working side-by-side with plant leadership to drive continuous improvement.

As a Health & Safety Manager your roles and responsibilities will include :

  • Oversee all regulatory (OSHA) and internal safety programs
  • Lead employee safety training, audits, and hazard recognition
  • Manage Workers' Compensation cases and light-duty return-to-work planning
  • Serve as a Medical First Responder and case manager for workplace incidents
  • Track and report safety KPIs weekly / monthly
  • Lead safety efforts for Management of Change (MoC) reviews
  • Manage the safety budget (PPE, first aid supplies, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS

Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Health & Safety Manager who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Health & Safety Manager would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following :

  • Bachelor's degree and 5+ years in safety leadership within a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA , ANSI, NFPA, and Workers' Comp laws
  • First Aid, AED, CPR knowledge
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Comfortable both working independently and collaborating with cross-functional teams
  • We understand that even if you are a seasoned Health & Safety Manager you may not have all the skills listed here.
