Responsibilities
- Meet patients upon arrival and precisely catalogue measurements of the patient's vital signs including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and blood oxygen level
- Give patient support with basic care daily living activities bathing, getting dressed, going to the restroom, eating regular meals, and taking proper medication dosages
- Communicate information with patient care providers and other nursing staff members to facilitate patient care
- Maintain clean and sanitary patient rooms by rotating sheets, changing bedpans, and performing general room upkeep
- Work with patients on regular exercise as needed to maintain their mobility level and physical health
Qualifications
Candidates must have already completed the state-approved CNA training program and received CNA certification from a medical facility, vocational school, or community collegeNeeds strong physical stamina to reposition and lift patients from beds to examination tables or wheelchairs and move medical equipmentProficient computer skills and experience using computer database to ensure patient history is accurately recordedJob seekers must possess a high school diploma or equivalent such as GEDExperience administering a catheter and enema is preferred, but not required
