Operations Manager

Chief Engineer

An aerospace company is seeking a highly experienced and confident Chief Engineer to lead engineering efforts across its U.S. and Canadian operations. This role is critical to driving technical excellence, resolving engineering challenges, and supporting business development initiatives.

Responsibilities :

• Review non-conformance reports and address design issues.
• Collaborate assertively with design engineering teams.
• Drive product readiness from design to production.
• Streamline in-house engineering processes.
• Contribute to proposals and customer-facing technical discussions.
• Act as a technical authority across structural, stress, and design engineering.
• Manage liaison and manufacturing engineers.
• Solve complex engineering problems.

Work Environment :

The position is based onsite in Tampa, FL. The role involves 3-4 trips per year to Canada and 3-4 customer visits per year to domestic and foreign military bases.

Employment is a Contract-to-Hire opportunity with a long-term perspective. The work schedule is a 4-day work week, Monday to Thursday, from 6 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM, totaling approximately 45 hours per week. Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $160000.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
