As a Quality Control Inspector II, you will play a vital role in our mission to maintain the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for the visual and technical inspection of incoming parts, in-process production, and final shipped products. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to precision will be essential in identifying defects, recommending improvements, and certifying that our products are safe, reliable, and ready for delivery.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Perform visual and technical inspections of materials, parts, and products at receiving, in-process, and final stages of production.
  • Apply and enforce company quality standards to accept, reject, or request rework of defective or malfunctioning units or systems.
  • Identify structural flaws, internal defects, and verify weld integrity.
  • Accurately record inspection data, document observations, and generate reports.
  • Make recommendations for process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Draft and maintain work instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Inspect and handle materials, including explosives or hazardous substances, with the utmost care and in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Perform aviation-related duties and operate or supervise vehicles and equipment as needed.

Physical / Mental / Emotional Requirements :

  • Frequently walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs.
  • Perform repetitive hand, arm, and finger motions, requiring significant finger and hand dexterity.
  • Possess visual abilities including close, distance, and depth perception, and the ability to differentiate between colors.
  • Possess hearing abilities to discern different tones and volumes.
  • Frequently lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Working Conditions :

  • Frequently work in outdoor environments, exposed to a range of temperatures and weather conditions.
  • Occasionally exposed to fumes, loud noises, or hazardous chemicals / materials.
  • This is a  Safety Sensitive Position  responsible for the safety of people and property.
  • Required Skills & Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 2 or more years of relevant quality control inspection experience. A higher-level degree may substitute for experience, and relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical schematics, drawings, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Proven experience with finished goods inspection.
  • Experience with Costpoint and / or AEGIS MES software.
  • Basic understanding of material flow in a manufacturing or operations environment.
  • Ability to draft clear and concise work instructions and SOPs.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9000 and AS9100 quality standards.
  • Preferred Skills & Qualifications :

  • Experience with Network+, Security+, CCNA, and / or A+ certifications is a plus.
  • Background in the aerospace, defense, or a similarly regulated industry.
